The “Building a Resilient Venice” Town Hall will give Venetians the opportunity to meet and speak with Venice’s emergency preparedness pros. Everyone in attendance will have access to the tools presented in the Ready Your Los Angeles Neighborhood (RYLAN) program and have a chance to ask questions during a Q&A. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the VCRC and how to get involved in your Venice! 
 
Guest speakers include:
  • L.A. Emergency Management Dept.'s new West Bureau Preparedness Chief, Crisanta Gonzalez, who will go over measures currently being taken by the City to keep Venice prepared in declared emergencies. 
  • Deputy Chief of the LAFD, Armando Hogan, LAFD Disaster Preparedness Officer, Capt. Rico Gross, and LAPD Senior Lead Officer Monique Contreras, will speak on their role in the community as it relates to emergency preparedness
  • Our partners at the Neighborhood Team Program will speak on Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and how to participate in their skills and community-building exercises.
