Venice Neighborhood Council August 19 Special Election

Venice Stakeholders will be asked to ratify five VNC Bylaws changes and one Board appointment at a Special Election Meeting to be run concurrently with the VNC Board Meeting on August 19, 2008 from 7 to 9PM at Westminster School Auditorium, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.

The items to be voted on are:

• Confirm or replace the VNC Board’s appointment of Hugh Harrison to the Board as Treasurer.
• Approve Bylaws amendment to clarify time frame for posting of minutes.
• Approve Bylaws amendment to change name of Budget, Finance and Fund Raising Committee.
• Approve Bylaws amendment to increase membership of Land Use and Planning Committee.
• Approve Bylaws amendment regarding Amendment of Bylaws.
• Approve Bylaws amendment to enable Neighborhood Committee to perform its mission when seven rather than all nine of its members have been elected.
